What is Blumera
Blumera is the first house of Sacred Luxury, creating hand-carved wood and brass handbags, silk scarves, sculptural lighting, bespoke furniture, decor, vases, chandeliers, and immersive living environments.
Founded by Mehera Blum, every Blumera creation begins with her original design vision and is brought to life by master artisans around the world. Many pieces are inspired by the paintings of her late mother, Laurie Blum, transforming fine art into timeless creations destined to become heirlooms for future generations.

Who is Mehera Blum?
Mehera Blum is the founder and creative director of Blumera.
A visionary artist who creates from a foundation of spirituality and craftsmanship, Mehera designs each Blumera creation herself, drawing inspiration from her travels, sacred symbolism, and the paintings of her late mother, Laurie Blum.
Her work has attracted collectors including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, royalty, and discerning clients around the world, and has been carried to the Met Gala, The Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, GRAMMYs, Cannes Film Festival, and other prestigious events globally.

What makes Blumera unique?
Blumera transforms traditional craftsmanship into timeless expressions of beauty and spirit.
Many Blumera creations originate from the paintings of Laurie Blum and are hand-carved under Mehera's direction in sacred spaces, including a temple atelier in Bali. Others are sculpted by master jewelers in Italy using techniques rarely seen in contemporary luxury.
Blumera also carries forward a legacy of craftsmanship through Mehera's family connection to Blumcraft, the historic metalwork company whose work can be found in iconic locations including the White House, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the entrance to the Louvre Pyramid.

What is Sacred Luxury?
Sacred Luxury is Blumera's philosophy that beautiful objects can elevate the human experience.
Rather than creating products that follow trends, Blumera creates meaningful works of he(art) designed to uplift, inspire, and bring beauty into everyday life. Every creation is rooted in exceptional craftsmanship, storytelling, and soul-stirring beauty.

Are Blumera pieces handmade?
Yes.
Blumera creations are made entirely by hand by master artisans. The wood collections are hand-carved in a temple in Bali by a Balinese Priest, who is Blumera's full-time carver, the brass collections are sculpted and finished in Italy, and the silk scarves are woven, printed, and crafted in Lake Como, Italy.
Because of the extensive hand craftsmanship involved, each piece possesses its own unique character.

Who owns Blumera creations?
Blumera collectors include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Iris Apfel, royalty, and tastemakers.
Lady Gaga has commissioned multiple bespoke pieces, including chandeliers and bedside lamps, and has described her Blumera bag as the most beautiful she owns.
Blumera creations have also been carried to the Met Gala by Emily Ratajkowski, Ciara, Angel Reese, and Janelle Monáe, and have appeared at the GRAMMYs, the Oscars, The Cannes Film Festival, and on most all red carpets around the world.

How do I commission a bespoke Blumera piece?
Each year, Mehera Blum accepts a limited number of bespoke commissions, including handbags, chandeliers, furniture, wall installations, and entire living environments.
Every commission begins with a private consultation and unfolds as a deeply personal creation designed specifically for one collector.

Many Blumera creations incorporate reclaimed wood, recycled brass, and natural materials. Produced in small batches by master artisans, each piece is made with extraordinary care and designed to endure.
