The Simurgh, the mythical bird of God, is benevolent, healing, and mystical. She is carved here in her kingdom resplendent with the mythical worlds of flowers and clouds. The other birds, according to Laurie Blum's painting Conference of the Birds, are on their journey to their True Self, and so we see here the Quail and Hummingbird.
