Commission Fusions of Mehera and Laurie Blum's Art and Paintings
Blumera
In Mehera's own words:
My mother, Laurie Blum, sold her original masterpieces and also did hand-painted prints on commission. As a girl I used to sit and paint with my mom in our greenhouse. Now that she is no longer in physical form, I feel inspired to co-create her works of art into a fusion of our work.
I still employ her special process that I learned from her to make museum quality giclee prints on 100% cotton rag and using archival ink. Then based on the clients' needs we resize the print to custom sizes. Next using many of the same paints that my mother once painted with and her brushes I paint over the print - sometime with the original color and in other instances (like the Butterflies pictured here) I paint according to my inspiration. Depending on the project, we then incorporate hand-embroidery using silk threads and crystals under the skilled hands of the embroiderers who embroiderer for the royal palaces of Europe and beyond.
By commission. Pricing according to project. To inquire please contact us. To view paintings by Laurie Blum.
